The Ukrainian CCI officially accepted Chairmanship in the BSEC Business Council

First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Vadym Prystaiko spoke about priorities of the Ukrainian Chairmanship in the Organization under the slogan «For peace, stability and prosperity», drawing the participants’ attention to the fact that further development of economic cooperation in the Black Sea region became hostage of Russian aggression and is impossible without recovery of trust, peace and stability in the region.

In its time, the BSEC project became, in a way, an alternative to lost or unrealized cooperation mechanisms. Today, 12 countries are members of the organization: Azerbaijan, Albania, Bulgaria, Armenia, Georgia, Moldova, Russia, Romania, Serbia, Turkey and Ukraine. Countries such as Austria, Egypt, Israel, Poland, the Slovak Republic and Tunisia have an observer status in this organization, which in its turn increases opportunities for mutual cooperation.

«We are grateful to our Turkish colleagues for their effective work during the previous 6 months. From my side I can assure you that we will make maximum efforts for the realization of the main goals of the Business Council – promotion of informational exchange, lobbying of interests of business circles in BSEC structures, support in search for partners, etc. Development of regional trade, investments and support policy of SMEs are the main priorities for us for the upcoming half-year», - said Gennadiy Chyzhykov as he accepted coordination work in the BSEC Business Council from Turkish partners from DEIK. 

Today two interesting events in Kyiv for the second half of this year have already been planned – meeting of the BSEC Business Council on October 17 and meeting of the BSEC Board of Directors on December 12.

«I encourage the business community to join this work process and to use opportunities in the framework of authorities given to Ukraine in the next half-year to the maximum», - said Gennadiy Chyzhykov.
